Lucys Little Bakes

We designed and developed a completely new website for Lucy’s Little Bakes, creating a clean, modern and highly visual platform that allows Lucy’s cakes to take centre stage.

The site was designed around the way potential customers are likely to choose a cake maker. Rather than overwhelming visitors with information, strong imagery is used throughout the website to showcase recent creations, supported by clear calls to action that encourage visitors to get in touch or explore the wider gallery. The live site also incorporates customer reviews prominently to provide social proof alongside Lucy’s work.

A dedicated gallery provides Lucy with a growing portfolio of previous creations, helping potential customers find inspiration while demonstrating the range and quality of work available. Reviews and customer feedback have also been incorporated throughout the experience to help establish trust with people discovering the business for the first time.

SEO was considered from the beginning rather than being added as an afterthought. The website has been built with search-friendly structure and technical foundations that give Lucy’s Little Bakes a platform from which to grow its visibility, particularly for customers searching for cakes and local baking services around Gateshead and the wider North East.

Importantly, we also built the website with future growth in mind. The current site focuses on showcasing Lucy’s products and generating enquiries, but its underlying structure provides a foundation for introducing e-commerce and online ordering functionality when the business is ready to take that next step.

Finally, Lucy’s Little Bakes was onboarded onto our fully managed hosting and email service. This means we continue to look after the technical side of the website, providing the reliable hosting, security, monitoring and ongoing support needed to keep the site running smoothly while Lucy can concentrate on creating great cakes.
