The Brief

When all you need is a simple, convenient way to manage and share wishlists, it’s surprising how many apps either hide core features behind expensive subscriptions or bombard users with intrusive adverts. That was the frustration Lucy experienced, leading her to commission the development of an app designed around one simple goal: creating and sharing wishlists without unnecessary complexity.

While there were plenty of wishlist apps available, none provided the clean, intuitive experience she was looking for. Many required paid subscriptions to unlock essential features, displayed distracting advertisements or collected large amounts of user data. Others felt slow, cluttered or tried to do far more than users actually needed.

The objective was to create a lightweight, privacy-conscious application that focused on doing one thing exceptionally well.

The Solution

To ensure the app could reach the widest possible audience while maintaining a consistent experience across devices, we developed Wishlist Mkr using Flutter, enabling a single, high-performance codebase for both Android and iOS.

The application was designed around simplicity from the outset. Every feature was carefully considered to ensure users could quickly create, organise and share wishlists without navigating complicated menus or unnecessary functionality.

Unlike many competing applications, Wishlist Mkr is completely free to use, with no subscription paywalls restricting access to core features and no intrusive advertising disrupting the user experience.

Performance was a key priority throughout development. The result is a lightweight, responsive application that launches quickly, feels smooth to use and remains focused on the tasks users actually want to accomplish.

Privacy was equally important. By avoiding unnecessary data collection and keeping the application focused on its core purpose, Wishlist Mkr provides a straightforward, trustworthy experience that users can enjoy without distraction.

The end result is a fast, efficient cross-platform application that delivers exactly what users need; a clean, intuitive way to create, manage and share wishlists with friends and family, completely free of charge.
